Since the beginning, there have been many children living in our residential homes that have been unable to stay with their families.  We’ve helped them to flourish and to achieve their full potential through education. In fact, one of the first children that came into our care is now a Trustee for El Shaddai Charitable Trust India.

We’ve supported the children who live with their families and we encourage the parents of those children living in slums to enrol them in school so that they may benefit from an education in the hope of a much brighter future.  We recognised that mothers needed help and support to improve their practical skills which in turn would benefit their children and ensure that they did not become another child in need. 

Our Medical Camps and Awareness Sessions are some of the many projects supporting families with knowledge and skills to enable them to make better choices around health, hygiene and family planning.

Our Food Projects ensure that children coming into our day shelters are fed a nutritious meal as well as those living in the slums and on the nearby streets.  India has the most malnourished child population in the world according to the UN.
